Welcome to Southbank Centre Filming and Photography

Occupying a prominent riverside location in the heart of London, the Southbank Centre offers a fantastic setting for both filming and photography.

The site can accommodate a wide variety of shoots in both our indoor and outdoor spaces.

A range of locations take in riverside views from the Queen's Walk, to sweeping shots of the London landscape from the roof of the Royal Festival Hall. The celebrated brutalist architecture of the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Hayward Gallery offers a distinctly gritty and urban setting for shoots.

Make your filming and photography applications via Filmapp. Before filming or photoshoots can be confirmed the following information must be supplied:
 

• copy of public liability insurance (generally this should be £10m, but for small shoots £5m may be acceptable)
• a comprehensive, site-specific risk assessment and method statement for the shoot

The location fee must be paid in full before the shoot date; you will then be issued a permit which you must keep with you when on site. 
 

We may need a few days to assess your application and complete the relevant paperwork, so please submit your enquiry with as much notice as possible. We can't guarantee to approve shoots with fewer than five working days' notice.

Please note that there is a minimum spend of £600 + VAT applied to all filming and photography taking place at the Southbank Centre
